Dana Gordon - "Accident" – A fabricated war-room that depicts one moment from Public Movement's early action "Accident" (2006). She uses different conventions of representation in order to describe the very same moment without adding any new information, this acts as a parody that exposes the mediated nature of the design act.

"I'm a political text" – Collaboration with the Israeli performance group "Public Movement"
February-June 2012

In their blog "The army did not perform creatively" (a quote from Winograd commission report on the Second Lebanon War), the group's leaders, Omer Kriger and Dana Yahalomi, describe their activities: "Public Movement is a performative research body that investigates and stages political actions in public spaces. The movement explores the political and aesthetic possibilities residing in a group of people acting together. It studies and creates public choreographies, forms of social order, overt and covert rituals. Among Public Movement's actions in the past and in the future: manifestations of presence, fictional acts of hatred, new folk dances, synchronized procedures of movement, spectacles, marches, inventing and reenacting moments in the life of individuals, communities, social institutions, peoples, states, and of humanity".

During the semester, the students went through an active and demanding research process – they learned to perform the movement's practices, deciphered the idiosyncratic logic that stands behind them, and explored visual languages and actions that continue and extend the group's work.
